Giving Opportunities
The Religion, Politics and Globalization Program draws
on the exceptional resources of the University of California,
Berkeley, to strengthen research and teaching in these
areas, forge new international partnerships, and enrich
public life by communicating those results. In order
to accomplish these goals, RPGP has identified the following
opportunities for private support. We also welcome gifts
of all sizes to the RPGP annual fund.
Please contact Kaja Sehrt at sehrt@berkeley.edu
or 510-642-3633 for more information or to discuss tailoring
a gift to your area of interest.

Major Events and Lecture Series
The Religion, Politics and Globalization Program hosts
numerous conferences and lecture series throughout the
year. Additional funding will allow broader cross-campus
collaboration, facilitate greater international participation,
and increase the impact of public events. Gifts of $25,000
or more will enhance conferences, lecture series, and
international symposia.
Post-Doctoral Fellows and Visiting Scholars
UC Berkeley thrives on exchange with visiting scholars
and professionals who participate in symposia, give
lectures, and teach courses. In order to attract the
most dynamic and eminent visiting fellows, artists,
and scholars, we seek annual funding of $10,000 to $40,000.
Faculty Positions and Faculty Support
The best way to secure the future of studies in religion,
politics and globalization at UC Berkeley is to hire
and retain outstanding faculty. Distinguished professorships,
endowed chairs, and faculty research fellowships help
to advance scholarship in a range of disciplines and
professions. Endowment gifts for these programs begin
at $300,000.
Student Scholarships, Fellowships, and Services
Giving opportunities begin at $5,000 to provide undergraduate
scholarships for study on religion, politics and globalization,
or conference travel grants or summer pre-dissertation
grants for graduate students. Dissertation research
fellowships and graduate fellowships are also available
at $12,000 to $35,000. Larger gifts may endow these
programs.
