Dacher Keltner is Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley. Prof. Keltner is a social psychologist who focuses on the prosocial emotions, such as love, sympathy and gratitude, and processes such as teasing and flirtation that enhance bonds. He is the author of Born to Be Good: The Science of a Meaningful Life (2009). He is coauthor of Social Psychology (2010); and Understanding Emotions (2006). He is coeditor of The Compassionate Instinct: The Science of Human Goodness (2010). Prof. Keltner is Director of the Berkeley Social Interaction Laboratory and Co-Director of The Greater Good Science Center.
