Graduate Students

Working Groups
RPGP organizes small working groups as part of an ongoing effort to support and encourage interdiscplinary scholarship at the intersection of religion and politics.  Graduate students and faculty from UC Berkeley and the Graduate Theological Union meet each semester to discuss their ongoing research on diverse topics including political Islam, evangelicalism and religious violence.
For more information, please see our Working Groups page here.

Graduate Colloquia
RPGP encourages graduate student research by offering a monthly Graduate Colloquia for students to present their research in its most current form for critical analysis and debate. For more information, please contact Jessica Owen, RPGP's Events Coordinator.

Contributing to RPGP's Blog
For those who would like to continue dialogue following the working groups, RPGP offers graduate students the opportunity to post their thoughts on our blog, "News in the Nexus of Religion and Politics."  Contact Jessica Owen, RPGP Events Coordinator for more information about submitting a blog piece.

Graduate Research Fellows
RPGP Research Fellows include visiting post-docs as well as graduate students from UC Berkeley and the Graduate Theological Union.  Our Research Fellows conduct research in one of our areas of interest, participate in the administration of our center, coordinate our working groups, and are part of a vibrant, interdisciplinary community of scholars working on the nexus of religion and politics.  For more information on this program, contact RPGP Director Sara Bamberger.
